Also, the 2006 version includes audio reinforcement. When you get an answer correct, it plays a pleasant sound, if you get the answer incorrect it plays an error sound. The application comes with default sounds and you can customize the sounds to your liking.

How does it work? Intelli-Flashcards starts all flashcards in the 'unlearned' category. When you quiz yourself, any correct answers go into tomorrow's category. Any incorrect answers are left in the unlearned category. The next time you quiz yourself you only have to answer questions that you had wrong, saving a lot of time and increasing your ability to concentrate on the incorrect questions. If you wish, you can quiz yourself on all of the questions again. Any correct answers get promoted to the next category. Any incorrect answers go back to the unlearned category.

There are 10 categories that the individual flashcards can move through. Once all flashcards are promoted to the 10th category, you have learned the cards permanently.

There are several benefits to this method. First is the amount of time you'll save when learning any subject. Next is the ability to quickly see how well you have memorized a set of cards. For example, if you have 90 out of 100 cards in the unlearned, 1 or 2 bucket, you'll quickly realize you need more practice. If you have 90 cards in category 8 - 10, you know you are well on your way to mastering the cards.

Imagine how much time you would waste if you had 90 cards near mastery and 10 cards near unlearned if you were using traditional flashcard systems! You would have to continually sort through all for the cards that you already learned. I'm sure your time is more valuable than that!
